Day 17

Today was definitely one of my favourite places that we have paddled yet. Leaving near to Smerwick harbour on a grey wet day we cruised by Brandon Mountain and its impressive cliffs that drop into the water.

The paddle gives you a strong feeling of insignificance as you are exposed to the elements for 10 miles along the rocky shore. Next stop Kerry Head and tomorrow across the Shannon! Paddy

  1. Brief, but nice post. One assumes that the area you are paddling in is Ireland?
