With a crack team of aspirant paddlers,
we headed west. After a small dissapointment on the saturday with no water on Ballysadare or on the Duff we headed to Bundoran. After a quick glipse of the biggest cleanest surf we had ever seen we grabbed the kit and ran for the beach.
On Reaching the beach the beautiful swell had all but vanished! but we got on anyway and floated in the millpond of the atlantic.
After a half hour drive we reached the beachbar on alcrich head where we lay our heads for the night.
Sunday brought big SW swells heading for the coast so we made for Easky where we found some moderate waves after Ger and ronnie scared off the surfers we got on to enjoy the large afternoon swells with some big waves 10ft Plus and just massive walls of water to crash down on anybody (me) who happened to be in the way.
with Airscrews from Ronnie, Blunts from Ger and general carnage and surfing from JP we had it all!
The afternoon rounded off with a leisurely drive back to dublin with sausage and egg fights as well as a pie at the toll booth the fun continued!
Thanks to the lads for an awesome weekend
.Ad, JP, Paul, Ger, Ronnie
